The main interest was focused on optical, electrical and magnetic materials and their applications in electronic devices, optical, sensors, etc
International Workshop Organic optoelectronic devices: simulation and models
of operation

Organic materials and devices are opening a broad range of applications and scientific questions. This International Workshop was a one day discussion of key aspects of optoelectronic materials based on, or employing, organic materials as one of the key constituents. A list of reknown scientists of this field presented short talks, that were followed by ample discussion.
Ordered 1 Dimensional Nanostructures for Photovoltaics 2010

One-dimensional (1-D) ordered nanostructures, such as nanowire or nanotube arrays, present an intriguing opportunity for significant improvements in 3rd generation photovoltaic device efficiencies. This conference presents a forum for advancing knowledge in the synthesis, properties and photovoltaic application of ordered 1-D nanostructures.
Impedance Spectroscopy School 2010

A complete course covering the whole experimental process of
impedance analysis: from the design of experiments, set-up requirements, signal registering, to
data analysis, and use of software packages for data fitting and visualization.
This year was the second edition of this high-level school led by Prof. Germ Garcia.
Hybrid and Organic Photovoltaics Conference, 2010. Assisi, Italy

After the success of the first edition in Benidorm, Spain, may 2009, the second edition of this conference, that concentrates the most exciting developments in dye-sensitized solar cells and all-organic solar cells, took place in the beautiful setting of Assisi, Italy, and was organized by leading italian scientist Filippo de Angelis.
Nanoscale Devices for Environmental and Energy Applications, 2010. San Sebastin, Spain
This Conference organised by the Consolider HOPE project in cooperation with CIDETEC, the Consolider Molecular Nanoscience, CIC Nanogune project, and CIC Energigune center, reviewed the recent advances in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) on the research of Nanoscale Devices for Environmental and Energy Applications.
Semiconductor Sensitized Solar Cells, 2010. Jerusalem, Israel
Solar cells based on nanoscale semiconductor sensitizers such as quantum dots and ultrathin absorber layers, have recently received considerable attention. This workshop on, organized by the pioneering scientist Arie Zaban (author of the first report on QDSSC), aimed at extensive discussion of alternative, inorganic sensitizers for dye sensitized solar cells.
