Moving around
Mallorca is a large island which is renown by its beauty and history. The island has endless entertainment options where you will also be able to enjoy both mountains and sea. We suggest you to plan different visits. For example, a good way to spend a wonderful day would be taking the train from Palma to Soller and then getting the tram in Soller in order to visit the port. Soller is one of most charming villages of Mallorca, surrounded by forest, olive grove and orchard in Tramontana Mountains. In Soller, there are some boats that arrive to Sa Calobra with just one hour journey along the coast. Sa Calobra is a wonderful creek beside a stream where you can enjoy bathing.
It’s also very interesting to plan another day for visiting the city of Palma, going to the cathedral, taking a trip outside the Arab baths and getting lost into the neighborhood with a coffee or a typical almond juice (“granizado de almendra”) in one of its numerous bars. It’s interesting to visit the neighbourhood during the night and enjoy an auction where you can have dinner with “tapas” and attend at the same time a concert of live music ("youthing" a free guide with all of leisure options will be provided at the Hotel).
Another visit among the municipalities of Llucmajor and Algaida, specifically in the Pic de Randa, there are two relevant building, the Monastery of Cura and the Church of Gracia. From Cura, if the day is clear, you can see almost the entire island.
If you really like to eat a fish, do not hesitate the opportunity to try one of the most famous restaurants and not too expensive named Las Sirenas which is located above the Club Nautico del Arenal, and do not forget to stay and ask for a table at the terrace.
One of the most beautiful part of the island is The Serra of Tramuntana where you can also spend a day visiting the village of Valdemosa and Deěa with the views from its graveyard ...
We finally recommend you to visit "Calas de Mallorca" near Manacor and if you want to take a half-hour ride it’s highly recommended to go to Cala Varques.
